Cause of death: Officer Parker died as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Officer Ian James Campbell
(Aug. 21, 1931 — March 9, 1963)
Cause of death: Officer Campbell was kidnapped, then shot and killed by robbery suspects. (The story of Campbell’s death is told in the best-selling book and movie, “The Onion Field.”)

Sgt. Norman Dean Piepenbrink

Cause of death: Sgt. Piepenbrink died as the result of a helicopter crash.

Officer Gary Kirt McDonald
